It has recently been renovated by being widened, resurfaced and straightened as much as possible by the construction of new bridges from Lorca to La ParroquÌa, a quaint, picturesque town nestled on a meadow within the mountain range on the edge of the Maria de los Velez Natural Park.
The Town Council of Lorca are renovating the natural spring baths known as La Fuensanta situated on the outskirts of La ParroquÌa on the C-22 heading towards VÈlez Rubio. The aim is to build a rural hotel and facilities, renovating the old buildings that stand on the site of the baths.
